RSI will be joined by Michael Kofman, Rob Lee, and Konrad Muzyka to discuss an upcoming Carnegie Endowment for International Peace report entitled Assessing Russian Military Adaptation in 2023.
The discussion will explore technologies, tactics, and force design changes observed in the Russian military and potential adoption of scalable defense and commercial systems.
Biography
Michael Kofman
Title: Senior Fellow Affiliation: Russia and Eurasia Program, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
Michael Kofman is a Senior Fellow in the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he focuses on the Russian military, Ukrainian armed forces, and Eurasian security issues.
Prior to joining Carnegie in 2023, he served as director of the Russia Studies Program at the Center for Naval Analyses, where he led a team conducting research on the capabilities, strategy, and military thought of the Russian Armed Forces.
Rob Lee
Title: Senior Fellow Affiliation: Foreign Policy Research Institute
Rob Lee is a Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Eurasia Program. He is a former Marine infantry officer, Alfa Fellow, and visiting fellow at the Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (CAST), a Russian think tank focused on defense policy.
Dr. Konrad Muzyka
Title: Director Affiliation: Rochan Consulting
Konrad Muzyka is the Director of Rochan Consulting and an independent defense analyst. He provides consultancy and advisory services on the Russian and Belarusian Armed Forces.
