RSI partnered with Michael Kofman and Dmitry Gorenburg from the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA) to discuss their research on the evolution of Russian naval strategy.
The presentation explored how the Russian navy has integrated itself into Russian military strategy and doctrine, its role in current strategic operations, and its involvement in escalation management and war termination concepts.

Michael Kofman
Title: Research Program Director Affiliation: Russia Studies Program, Center for Naval Analyses (CNA)
Michael Kofman specializes in Russian armed forces, military thought, capabilities, and strategy. He is a Senior Editor at War on the Rocks and runs a blog on Russian armed forces at Russian Military Analysis. He holds an MA in International Security from Georgetown University.
Dmitry Gorenburg
Title: Senior Research Scientist Affiliation: Center for Naval Analyses (CNA)
Dmitry Gorenburg specializes in Russian military strategy, naval operations, and defense policy. He has published extensively on Russian military modernization and strategic decision-making. He holds a PhD in political science from Harvard University.
