Join as RSI hosts experts from the Foreign Policy Research Institute to discuss their recent RSI project, The Future of Russian Power and Conventional Warfare: Drawing Lessons from the Russian-Ukraine War.

The experts will discuss the systematic weaknesses at the state level and their impact on Russian military performance in Ukraine.

Rob Lee

Rob Lee

Title: Senior Fellow Affiliation: Foreign Policy Research Institute

Rob Lee is a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and an expert on Russian military affairs. Rob has worked as a visiting fellow at the Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies in Moscow. Previously, he served as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps.

Philip G. Wasielewski

Title: Senior Fellow Affiliation: Foreign Policy Research Institute, Eurasia Program

Philip G. Wasielewski is a Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Research Institute's Eurasia Program. He is a former Paramilitary Case Officer who had a 31-year career in the Directorate of Operations of the Central Intelligence Agency. Concurrently, he served in the Marine Corps for 30 years.

Dr. Stephen J. Blank is Senior Fellow at FPRI's Eurasia Program. He has published over 900 articles and monographs on Soviet/Russian, U.S., Asian, and European military and foreign policies. Stephen is also the author of The Sorcerer as Apprentice: Stalin's Commissariat of Nationalities (Greenwood, 1994) and the co-editor of The Soviet Military and the Future (Greenwood, 1992).
