Panelist: Oscar Jonsson

Dr. Oscar Jonsson is Academic Director for the Center for the Governance of Change. His research focuses on the impact of emerging technologies on modern statecraft and conflict, particularly Russian modern warfare. He is the author of The Russian Understanding of War (Georgetown University Press), which was a finalist for the Association of American Publisher’s award for scholarly and professional excellence in social sciences (2020).

Title: Professor of International Security Affiliation: University of Nottingham
Dr. Bettina Renz specializes in Russian security and defense policy in the post-Cold War era. She is the author of Russia's Military Revival (2018) and has published widely on military reforms, strategic thinking, and civil-military relations. She has lectured internationally and collaborated with military practitioners.
